Project Overview

The Research Effort Tracking Application (RETA) project aims to design and develop a mobile-friendly user interface for Michigan Medicine’s Clinical Trials Support Units (CTSUs). Currently operating on an aging ASP and Oracle 19c tech stack on a Windows Server 2016 platform, RETA's redesign will address the need for mobile accessibility and update the user interface for enhanced responsiveness across various devices. This initiative will allow CTSUs to capture and monitor research effort data more efficiently in real time, improving productivity and compliance with clinical trial reporting requirements. The enhancement of RETA aims to maintain its robust functionality while providing a much-needed mobile interface that meets modern technology standards.

Client

Problem Statement

RETA operates on an outdated platform that lacks a mobile interface for recording clinical trial efforts on the go, and its current desktop and mobile layouts are not user-friendly, necessitating a comprehensive redesign to align with modern technologies.

Solution

The development and design of a mobile-friendly RETA application will enable CTSU staff to log their research effort in real-time from anywhere via their mobile devices, improving compliance with effort reporting and streamlining the effort logging process through a user interface that supports the effort/time entry function.
